Guide and Formula
How In-Hand Salary is Calculated
Your CTC (Cost to Company) is not what you receive in your bank account. Several components are deducted before the final payout.
The Breakdown:
InHand = CTC - (PF + PT + Income Tax + Gratuity + Insurance)
Components:
CTC: Total expense company spends on you.
Basic Salary: Usually 40-50% of CTC.
PF (Provident Fund): 12% of Basic Salary deducted for retirement.
Professional Tax (PT): State government tax (max ₹2500/year).
TDS: Income Tax deducted at source (not calculated here, use Tax Calculator for that).
This calculator provides an estimate before income tax deductions.
